Prospects of Ukrainian-Indian cooperation were the main issue discussed during the official visit on May 13 the Ambassador of India in Ukraine Manoj Kumar Bharti and his wife Bharti Anamikoyu to Vinnytsia.

“In the years 2012-2014 India was part of the three largest economic partners of Ukraine, the trade turnover between the countries amounted to 3.3 billion dollars. In the years 2014-2015 through a difficult situation in Ukraine turnover figure dropped to 1.8 billion dollars. Of this amount, 1.4 billion dollars was Ukraine’s exports to India. However, the total figure of Ukraine’s trade with other countries is also $ 1 billion, “- said Manoj Kumar Bharti. So said that India has a huge potential for investment in the Ukrainian economy, even in these difficult times for the country.
The Ambassador stressed the need to leave at least the pre-crisis level and expressed confidence that it is the chambers of commerce to help with this.
Manoj Kumar Bharti proposed to hold a seminar regarding trends and important aspects of cooperation with India. In particular, July 17, a seminar is planned in Lviv Chamber of Commerce and in September – In Dnipropetrovsk.

And I am ready to invite a delegation of entrepreneurs from Vinnytsya region to India to show what channels are importing what kinds of beans it needs “- said the diplomat.
Along with the fact he offered to consider import to India and milk products, including cheese and sour cream and said that Ukraine already has an Indian company is looking for reliable partners to contracts with the Vinnitsa entrepreneurs.
Vice President of Vinnitsa Chamber Lipcani SV introduced a futures mechanisms for the development of the agricultural sector Vinnytsia region.

Another topic of discussion was a program ITEC (Indian Technical & Economic Cooperation) – Government of India scholarship program for professionals from Ukraine.
Every year, the Indian government allocated 66 scholarships for the training areas for foreigners. The term internship is from 2 to 16 weeks.
Separately discussed features of Chambers of Commerce in Ukraine and India, as well as the possibility of establishing partnerships between the Vinnitsa Chamber of Commerce and one of the regional Chamber of Commerce in India with the assistance of the Embassy of India in Ukraine.
